Cells compute - Let’s program them.

My New Home

717 Potter St

The past month or so I have been moving from Ithaca, NY to Berkeley, CA, and I am happy to have arrived at my new home in the Arkin Lab. I’m still in the process of settling in, but I have managed to start experiments thanks to John Dueber and Weston Whitaker, who have generously agreed to teach me the ropes of molecular biology. (Given that I have almost no lab experience, this should be a lot of fun for me, and hopefully not too much pain for Wes and John.)

While spending some time getting introduced to the bench, I’m also brainstorming project ideas in the general area of biocomputing. If anyone is in the area and wants to chat about biocomputing, OpenWetWare, or anything else, please drop me a line.

Suddenly the name of your blog makes sense. The building is nice, but it’s at the end of the fucking ghetto. I hope you have a car. Tell Dueber I said hey.
